We were inspired to begin providing cannatherapy to our community based on our firsthand experience. The founders of ZAR, Asad and Razia, had each gone through adverse trials with ailments that left them in constant search of relief. Through various medications where the side effects nearly surmounted the symptoms they were intended to relieve, Asad and Razia persevered to find a solution. For Asad, he had to find something to help alleviate his chronic insomnia that developed after his service in the United States Army. Those who suffer from insomnia know all too well what it’s like to bear through each sleepless night, never having a moment to feel well-rested. Some medications may help, but the side effects often seem to outweigh the benefits. After all, what’s the use of getting a full night’s rest if the medications will make you feel like you’re still sleeping throughout the day? Asad had nothing to lose in trying CBD for sleep, and in doing so, it saved his life. For Razia, she had simply endured the pain of rheumatoid arthritis for too long. No medication seemed to be able to provide the opportunity for Razia to thrive, that is until she tried cannatherapy after seeing what it had done for Asad. She too was able to finally find some reprieve from the chronic pain of rheumatoid arthritis without the harsh side effects of her other prescribed medications.
